The Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, operated without issue during the 2022 Spring Festival holiday travel rush from Jan 17 to Feb 25.
During the 40-day period, the airport's passenger throughput reached 1.73 billion, increasing 12.27 percent over the 2021 Spring Festival holiday travel rush from Jan 28 to March 8.

There were 14,856 takeoffs and landings at the airport during this period, up 10.61 percent compared with the 2021 Spring Festival holiday travel rush.
To accommodate travelers, Guizhou Airports Group Co, which is responsible for the management of Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, coordinated increase in capacity for various airlines, optimized flight routes, and increased the number of flights from and to the cities of Shanghai, Sanya, Ningbo, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.
