The new Terminal 3 building at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport was put into use on Dec 15. The airport is located in Guiyang Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The new terminal has been designed to handle up to 30 million passengers, 250,000 metric tons of cargo and mail, and 243,000 aircraft movements annually by 2025.
It is divided into four floors including one situated underground, and has a total construction area of 167,460 square meters.

The terminal is equipped with 68 check-in counters, 12 self-checked luggage counters, two large luggage counters, two sets of automatic luggage sorting systems, 90 outbound sorting chutes, three emergency luggage carousels, 11 inbound luggage turntables, and an empty basket recycling system.
The launch of the new terminal will form Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in a coordinated style with the existing Terminals 1 and 2, injecting new vitality into the urban development of Guiyang and contributing to the high-quality development of Guizhou.
