As the school season approaches, railway passenger transport departments in Southwest China's Guizhou province have taken measures to facilitate students' return to school.

According to the Guiyang Railway Station in the provincial capital Guiyang, the travel season of students is expected to last until early September.

Since Aug 18, the number of student passengers at the Guiyang, Guiyang North, and Guiyang East railway stations has averaged more than 6,000 per day.

The most common destinations in Guizhou province were Liupanshui, Zunyi, Kaili, Duyun, and Guiyang, while major outside-Guizhou destinations included Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Changsha, Wuhan, and Xi'an.

A variety of ticket purchasing and train services have been offered to students.

Major railway stations have even set special counters to prioritize the selling of tickets to students. Students enjoy discounts on ticket fares as well, and trains provide students with epidemic prevention and control and safe travelling infromation.

During the entire summer travel period from July 1 to Aug 31, the Guiyang, Guiyang North, and Guiyang East railway stations are expected to serve 250,000 students.
