The Southwest Loop Line of the Guiyang Urban Express Railway in the city of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, entered the joint debugging and testing stage on Aug 19.
The 81-kilometer-long loop line is connected to the northeast loop line of the Guiyang railway hub – the Baiyun-Xiaobi-Longli Passenger Dedicated Line – forming the Guiyang Ring Express Railway. It has 14 stations in Guiyang and Guian New Area.
The local railway department will use test trains and equipment to carry out the comprehensive testing, verification, adjustment, and optimization of functions, performance, status, and matching relationships between high-speed railway systems on the loop line so that the overall system meets the requirements for train operation at the designed speed.
The loop line will expand the scale of Guiyang's comprehensive transportation network, integrate peripheral clusters of the urban area and the downtown area, and realize the coordinated development of various regions in Guiyang.
It will also be of great significance to the integrated development of Guiyang and Guian New Area.
