The construction of the Dadi interchange overpass, an important part of the Guantan Avenue project -- linking Guian New Area and Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province -- is progressing steadily, according to local media reports on Dec 13.
Currently, the construction of the bridge substructure is in full swing. A total of 166 pile foundations have been constructed, with 301 piles needed to finish the work. A total of 23 pile caps have been installed, with a total of 81 needed.
Guantan Avenue, which starts from Guanshanhu district and ends in Huaxi district -- connecting Hulei road in the Guian New Area -- is a provincial and municipal key project.
The avenue will be constructed as an urban expressway, with a total length of 11.98 kilometers, a width of 40 meters, eight lanes in both directions, as well as a design speed of 80 km per hour.
